Some valuable and some just plain old good fun nostalgia. Elvis proved that he wasnt all shook up and danced around on his blue suede shoes. He left people crying in the chapel! There was plenty of entertainment, even some twit lying on glass and juggling a chainsaw. Suzanne Lynch of "The Chicks" fame, and her old man were there singing their heart out... not to bad either. As you can see by the crowds in the pics, this was early in the day and it only got worse for viewing come afternoon. It was a brilliant weekend for those that stayed. For those that made the day trip you had to get there early to beat the crowds. The guys in the drag cars fired up all three at once in the main street. It was nothing but earth shaking. The surrounding hills were just echoing of these things pulling 7000 rpm plus. The fact that I was only 20 feet away with Alistair from Petrolhead Mag left him and myself with blown ear sockets I'm sure! It was great to see and hear. I'm not sure how many pacemakers stopped instantaneously. They would of just got trampled in the crowd.
