The JPS Mustang
Neville Crichton of course was personally sponsored by JPS. That's how he got to drive the JPS BMWs in 1985. In preparation for the World Touring Car Championship NZ ran the Nissan-Mobil series, consisting of two 500km races at Wellington and Pukekohe. Crichton and Johnson did a deal for the two races, resulting in Johnson's first Mustang (the first Zakspeed one) being resprayed in JPS colours.
Johnson/Crichton finished second to Brock/Moffat at Wellington and the Anderson Bros did not finish in the top ten. At Pukekohe, Johnson/Crichton did not finish in the top ten but the Anderson Bros came home ninth.
The above picture is one from the Gary Sparke book "Brock and Moffat: On the Road to Spa". It does not say who the photographer was, although about ten are listed in the credits.
The photo above was taken at Amaroo Park after it returned to Australia, where it was for sale.
