ALL USA DAY 2003

From the view of BOP Mustang, we were down but not out, thanks to mother nature dealing another cruel lesson. The rain put paid to what was to be one of our best shows . The Spring Street car park building was our plan B. In the event it was ideal, with the only problem being poor light for picture taking.
Its here I would like to say to all who helped on the day and up to it, a great big thank you. As much as it was a club effort there were a lot of friends and family and just a whole bunch of truly great people that once again made this event rock! As demanding as a show of this calibre is to organize, then having to move the total venue on the day, well, I am humbled by the way most people couldn't do enough to help. There are just so many that I can't thank enough personally and from the Bay of Plenty Mustang Owners Club.
Mothers Polish Waxes and Cleaners once again were staggered by what such a small club were capable of in not such pleasant conditions. The show in their eyes was a success. Also the extra mile that we didn't expect from Classic Hits BOP FM. Penny, Brian and the team, many thanks. Sunday just caught us all. Your all out effort helped save the day. Without sponsors like these on board the outcome of this event may well have been other than successful.
Although the rain kept a lot of local cars and visitors away, I'm thankful for the support shown by NSRA Tauranga, the GT40 club Waikato, Early Ford V8 club , and the Mustang owners clubs from Taranaki, Auckland, Waikato, and Manawatu. (Sorry if Ive missed any clubs or individuals). Yes there were more Mustangs than most. We do try to make it more interesting and invite a wide cross section of makes but most vehicles do seem to come from out of town as compared to seeing local cars. In that I place the challenge. More local cars for 2004 and way more other marques than good ol' Mustangs. Regards Bart
